Omal SR Range Spring Return Pneumatic Actuator

The Omal Spring Return Pneumatic actuator operates with the ingenious “Scotch Yoke” mechanism.
This mechanism allows the conversion of the linear piston movement within the actuator to provide the Omal Actuator with its quarter turn output movement.
The Scotch Yoke design provides maximum torque output at the point at which most valves produce their highest torque “break out” point and “re-seat” point.
The return torque of the actuator depends on spring action only (not withstanding the air supply). The spring is provided in three different sizes to overcome various operational air supplies.
The Omal Spring Return actuator is designed to provide torques from 15 Nm to 960 Nm.
Mounting flanges are as standard to DIN/ISO 5211 DIN 3337 F03 -F14 depending on model type.
The standard actuator automatic closing movement takes place in a clockwise direction by means of its springs.
